D N THEODO-SIVS P F AVG Helmeted, pearl-diademed and cuirassed bust of Theodosius II facing, his head turned slightly to right, holding spear over his shoulder in his right hand and with a shield, decorated with a horseman spearing fallen foe, on his left shoulder. Rev. VOT XXX MVLT XXXX / CONOB Constantinopolis seated left on throne, resting her left foot on prow, holding globus cruciger in her right hand and long scepter in her left; at her side, shield; in field to right, star. Depeyrot 81/1. RIC 257. Considerable clipping and with a graffito on the obverse and minor scratches on the reverse, otherwise, very fine.
