CONSILIO ET - INDVSTRIA The all-seeing eye of God in clouds over arms emerging from clouds and holding scepter and sword; below, crowned globe. Rev. LEOPOLDVS / HUNG:ET:BOH:REX / CORON:IN.REGEM / ROMANORVM / I•AVGVSTI / MDCLVIII in six lines within wreath; above, two cherubs supporting the imperial German crown; the cherub on the right also holds a scepter. This impressive coin was struck to commemorate the coronation of Leopold I (1658-1705), the longest-ruling Habsburg emperor, as Holy Roman Emperor in the Imperial Cathedral of Saint Bartholomew in Frankfurt on August 1, 1658.
