★ A magnificent portrait of Caracalla ★

Caracalla, 198-217. Dupondius (Orichalcum, 25 mm, 13.94 g, 7 h), Rome, 211. ANTONINVS PIVS AVG BRIT Radiate head of Caracalla to right, with slight drapery on his left shoulder. Rev. VICT BRIT TR P XIIII COS III / S - C Victory standing right, placing her right foot on helmet and inscribing shield, attached to palm tree, with her right hand. BMC 266† var. (no drapery). Cohen 644 var. (no drapery). RIC 487a var. (no drapery). Very rare. A very attractive coin with a magnificent green patina and an exceptionally fine portrait. Thin flan crack and the reverse slightly double struck, otherwise, good extremely fine.
