Marcus Aurelius, as Caesar, 139-161. Denarius (Silver, 17 mm, 3.91 g, 12 h), Rome, 156-157. AVRELIVS CAES ANTON AVG PII F Bare head of Marcus Aurelius to right. Rev. TR POT XI COS II Virtus standing front, head to left, holding parazonium in her right hand and inverted spear in her left. BMC 893. Cohen 721. RIC 473. A lovely, nicely toned piece with a particularly expressive portrait. Good extremely fine.
