★ Struck from the only left facing die of Trebonianus Gallus from Antiochia ★

SYRIA, Seleucis and Pieria. Antioch. Trebonianus Gallus, 251-253. Tetradrachm (Billon, 25 mm, 12.12 g, 12 h), 251. AYTOK K Γ OYIB TPЄB ΓAΛΛOC CЄB Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Trebonianus Gallus to left; below bust, [Z]. Rev. ΔHMAPX ЄΞOYCIAC / S C Eagle standing left on ground line, wings spread and head to right, holding wreath in beak. McAlee 1175. Prieur 655. Very rare. Nearly extremely fine.

This coin was struck from Gallus' only left facing obverse die in the whole Antiochian series.
