KINGS OF BOSPORUS. Sauromates II, with Septimius Severus and Caracalla, circa 174/5-210/1. Stater (Electrum, 20 mm, 7.79 g, 1 h), BE 496 = 199/200. BACIΛЄωC CAYPOMATOY Diademed and draped bust of Sauromates II to right. Rev. ςꟼY Laureate head of Septimius Severus, on the left, facing laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Caracalla, on the right; between them, a trident. MacDonald 507/3 var. (Caracalla not cuirassed). The obverse slightly rough, otherwise, good very fine.
