Description

Revolt of the Heraclii, 608-610. Dekanummion (Bronze, 17 mm, 3.43 g, 9 h), Carthage. ЄRACLIO CONSVLI Bare-headed facing bust of the Exarch Heraclius, wearing consular robes and with cross above. Rev. Large X; above, cross; below, star; in field to left and right, N-M with pellets above and below. DOC 8. MIB 13. SB 715. Rare. The reverse struck somewhat off center, otherwise, about very fine.

From the collection of Prof. Dr. Hans-Ulrich Geiger, privately acquired from the famous architect and numismatist Dr. Franz Füeg (1921-2019) on 31 January 1995 (with collector's ticket).
