★ An interesting mint error ★

Phocas, 602-610. Solidus (Gold, 21 mm, 4.48 g, 7 h), Constantinopolis, 603-607. o N FOCAS PЄRP AVI Draped and cuirassed bust of Phocas facing, wearing crown and holding globus cruciger in his right hand. Rev. VICTORIA AVGG I / CONOB Angel standing facing, holding long linear staff surmounted by staurogram in his right hand and globus cruciger in his left. DOC 5j. MIB 7. SB 618. Light marks and with an off center reverse brockage mint error, otherwise, extremely fine.

From the collection of Prof. Dr. Hans-Ulrich Geiger, privately acquired from Aufhäuser on 29 April 1988 (with original dealer's and collector's ticket).
