Description

Justinian I, 527-565. Nummus (Bronze, 8 mm, 0.56 g, 8 h), Carthage, 527-565. Helmeted (?) and draped bust of Justinian I facing flanked by stars. Rev. Monogram within wreath. DOC. 373 (uncertain mint). MIB 210. SB 341 (uncertain mint). Struck from somewhat worn dies, otherwise, about very fine.

From the collection of Prof. Dr. Hans-Ulrich Geiger, privately acquired from Dr. Frank Sternberg on 12 October 1981 (with original dealer's and collector's ticket).
