Description

Maximianus, first reign, 286-305. Antoninianus (Bronze, 21 mm, 4.20 g, 6 h), struck under Carausius, Londinium, 292-293. IMP C MAXIMIANVS P F AVG Radiate and cuirassed bust of Maximianus to right. Rev. PAX [AVG]GG / S - P / MLXXI Pax standing front, head to left, holding olive branch in her right hand and long scepter in her left. Cohen 462. RIC 34. Webb 1253. The reverse struck slightly off center, otherwise, about extremely fine.
