Theodosius I, 379-395. Solidus (Gold, 21 mm, 4.51 g, 12 h), Constantinopolis, 388-392. D N THEODO-SIVS P F AVG Pearl-diademed, draped and cuirassed bust of Theodosius I to right. Rev. CONCORDI-A AVGGG B / CONOB Constantino­polis, helmeted, seated facing, head to right, her right foot set on prow, holding spear with her right hand and placing her left on oval shield resting on column and inscribed VOT / X / MVLT / XV. Depeyrot 48/1. RIC 71a.2. Sharply struck, perfectly centered and lustrous, with a portrait of fine style. Virtually as struck.
