Within a circle, ‘sulṭān al-barrayn / wa khāqān al-baḥrayn / al-sulṭān ibn / al-sulṭān’ (‘The sultan of the two lands and the khaqan of the two seas, Sultan son of Sultan’ in Arabic). Rev. Within a circle, ‘Sulṭān Aḥmad ibn / Muḥammad Khān ʿazza / naṣruhū ḍuriba fī / Miṣr sana / 1013’ (‘Sultan Ahmad son of Mehmed Khan. May his victory be honoured. Struck in Misr, year 1013’ in Arabic).
