Theodosius II, 402-450. Tremissis (Gold, 14 mm, 1.51 g, 6 h), Constantinopolis, 444-450. D N THEODO-SIVS P F AVG Pearl-diademed, draped and cuirassed bust of Theodosius II to right. Rev. VICTORIA AVGVSTORVM / CONOB Victory advancing right, head to left, holding wreath in her right hand and globus cruciger in her left; in field to right, star. Depeyrot 70/1. RIC 341. Minor flan fault on the obverse and with a light scratch and a tiny dig on the reverse, otherwise, extremely fine.
