KYRENAICA. Barke. Circa 480-435 BC. Drachm (Silver, 12 mm, 3.34 g, 9 h), 'Asiatic' standard. Silphion plant with two pairs of leaves and fruits; below, on left and right, a Silphion fruit. Rev. Head of a ram to right; all within incuse square. BMC 3 var. and pl. XXXIII, 5. SNG Copenhagen -. Very rare. Somewhat rough and struck from a worn reverse die, otherwise, good fine.
