★ Struck on a broad flan and with an unusually complete reverse ★

CYPRUS. Salamis. Euelthon (?), circa 530/15-480. Stater (Silver, 25 mm, 11.20 g, 6 h). 𐠁𐠄𐠳-𐠐𐠰𐠚 ('[E-u-fe-le-tho-ne]' in Cypriot syllabic script) (?) Ram recumbent left. Rev. Ankh-like symbol with 𐠎 ('ku' in Cypriot syllabic script) in center within incuse square, corners of incuse decorated with sprays of leaves. BMC 15-6. Tziambazis 100 var. Struck on a broad flan and with an unusually complete reverse. Struck from a somewhat worn obverse die and with minor marks, otherwise, very fine.
