NORTHWEST GAUL. Carnutes. Pixtilos, circa 50-30 BC. AE (Bronze, 15 mm, 3.06 g, 9 h), 'au temple' type. PIXTIL[OS] Diademed male head to right. Rev. Eagle with spread wings standing left on serpent within distyle temple; to upper left and right, triangle made of pellets; below, decorations. DT 2472. LT 7100. Attractive two-toned dark olive-green and whitish-green patina. Very fine.
