SOUTHERN GAUL. Ruteni. Late 2nd-early 1st century BC. Drachm (Silver, 13 mm, 2.43 g), 'aux feuilles aquatiques'. Female head to left, hair in a long twisted roll. Rev. Balled cross, divided into four cantons: an aquatic leaf in the first, second and fourth quarter, a balled axe in the third. CMC 2.14.02. LT 3464-7. Nicely toned and with an unusually attractive reverse. Struck on the usual short flan, otherwise, good very fine.
