Description

CILICIA. Tarsos. Circa 420-400 BC. Stater (Silver, 19 mm, 10.65 g, 6 h). Satrap on horseback riding left, wearing kyrbasia and with gorytos at his hip, holding flower in his right hand and reins in his left; behind, eagle standing left on branch; to lower right, ankh-like symbol; below horse, winged solar disk (?). Rev. Archer kneeling right, drawing bow; behind, ankh-like symbol; all within dotted border within incuse square. Leu Web Auction 3 (2018), 385. Müseler -. SNG Copenhagen -. SNG Levante -.
