Description

Heraclius, with Heraclius Constantine and Heraclonas, 610-641. Solidus (Gold, 20 mm, 4.50 g, 7 h), Constantinopolis, 632-635 (?). Heraclius and Heraclius Constantine, both wearing crowns surmounted with crosses, and Heraclonas, uncrowned, standing facing; each holding globus cruciger in their right hand; in upper field to left, cross. Rev. VICTORIA AVGЧ A / CONOB Cross potent on base and three steps; in field to right, Heraclian monogram. DOC 33a. MIB 39. SB 758. A well struck example with a splendid obverse. A few light marks, otherwise, good extremely fine.

From an American collection, privately acquired from Ariadne Galleries prior to 1982.
