Description

★ Extremely rare, apparently the second known example ★

Constantine I, 307/310-337. Follis (Bronze, 19 mm, 3.11 g, 6 h), Londinium, 320-321. CONSTAN-TINVS AVG Helmeted and cuirassed bust of Constantine I to right. Rev. VIRTVS EXERCIT / P•LN• Two captives seated at base of labarum inscribed VOT / XX in two lines. Cloke & Toone 9.02.001. RIC -, cf. 191 (differing mint mark). Extremely rare, apparently the second known example. Repatinated, otherwise, good very fine.
