Description

Divus Vespasian, died 79. Denarius (Silver, 19 mm, 3.23 g, 6 h), Rome, under Titus, 80-81. DIVVS AVGVSTVS VESPASIANVS Laureate head of Vespasian to right. Rev. Foreparts of two capricorns to left and right, back to back, supporting round shield inscribed S C; below, striated globe. BMC 129. Cohen 497. RIC 357. Light scratches on the reverse, otherwise, good very fine.
