Description

SELEUKID KINGS. Antiochos III ‘the Great’, 222-187 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 29 mm, 15.53 g, 12 h), Antiochia on the Orontes. Diademed head of Antiochos III. Rev. ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ - ΑΝΤΙΟΧΟΥ Apollo seated left on omphalos, holding arrow in his right hand and resting his left on grounded bow; to outer left, cornucopiae; in exergue, monogram of AP. SC 1046.3c. Harshly cleaned and scratched, otherwise, very fine.
