KINGS OF MACEDON. Alexander III ‘the Great’, 336-323 BC. Drachm (Silver, 18 mm, 4.26 g, 12 h), uncertain mint in Western Asia Minor, circa 323-280 BC. Head of Herakles to right, wearing lion skin headdress. Rev. AΛEΞAN[ΔPOΥ] Zeus seated left on low throne, holding long scepter in his left hand and eagle standing right with closed wings in his right; in field to left, round shield.
