LUCANIA. Metapontion. Circa 300-250 BC. AE (Bronze, 15 mm, 3.13 g, 1 h). Laureate head of Apollo to left. Rev. ΜΕΤΑ Six-grained barley ear with leaf to left; in field to right, tripod. HN Italy 1675. Johnston, Bronze, 40. SNG ANS 597. A lovely example, well centered and sharply struck. Minor deposits and a few faint marks, otherwise, extremely fine.
