CAMPANIA. Neapolis. Circa 300 BC. Didrachm or Nomos (Silver, 21 mm, 7.18 g, 9 h), Arte..., magistrate. Diademed head of a nymph to right, wearing triple-pendant earring and pearl necklace; behind, Artemis running right, holding torch in either hand; below, APTE. Rev. [NE]AΠΟΛΙΤΩ[N] Man-headed bull walking right, head facing; above, Nike flying right, crowning bull with wreath; below, monogram. HN Italy 579. Sambon 462. SNG ANS 344. Lightly toned. Die break on the obverse, otherwise, very fine.
