Galba, 68-69. Denarius (Silver, 18 mm, 3.43 g, 6 h), uncertain mint in Spain (Tarraco?), April-late 68. GALBA IMPERATOR Laureate head of Galba to right, globe at point of neck. Rev. ROMA RENASCENS Roma advancing to right, holding Victory in her right hand and transverse spear in her left. ACIP 4190 ( this coin ). BMC -. Cohen -. RIC -. Extremely rare. A beautifully toned piece with a particularly impressive Spanish style portrait. A few minor edge marks, otherwise, good very fine.
