★ Well centered and nicely toned ★

PHOENICIA. Tyre. 126/5 BC-AD 65/6. Shekel (Silver, 30 mm, 14.11 g, 12 h), CY 63 = 64/3 BC. Laureate head of Melkart to right, lion skin tied around neck. Rev. TYPOY IEPAΣ KAI AΣYΛOY Eagle standing left on prow, wings closed and with palm frond behind; to left, ΓΞ above club; to right, monogram of HP; between the eagle's legs, 𐤁 (B in Punic). BMC 147-8. DCA Tyre 208. HGC 10, 357. Well centered and nicely toned. The obverse a bit rough and with light doubling on the reverse, otherwise, good very fine.
