SELEUKID KINGS. Antiochos III ‘the Great’, 222-187 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 31 mm, 17.00 g, 2 h), Seleukeia on the Tigris, circa 204-197. Diademed head of Antiochos III to right. Rev. ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ - ΑΝΤΙΟΧΟΥ Apollo seated left on omphalos, holding arrow in his right hand and resting his left on grounded bow; to inner left, monogram. SC 1166. Rare and with a bold and attractive portrait struck in high relief. Light marks, otherwise, nearly extremely fine.
