ISLAMIC, Anatolia & al-Jazira (Post-Seljuk). Salduqids. 'Izz al-Din Saltuq, AH 523-563 / AD 1129-1168. Fals (Bronze, 28 mm, 2.53 g, 6 h), Dvin (?) in Armenia. Within a central circle, ‘ʿIzz / al-Dīn’ (‘ʿIzz al-Din’ in Arabic); around, ‘sulṭān al-muʿaẓẓam’ (‘The great sultan’ in Arabic). Rev. Cross pattée with scattered pellets around. Album 1890A. Very rare. Some deposits, otherwise, very fine.
