ISLAMIC, Anatolia & al-Jazira (Post-Seljuk). Danishmendids (Malatyah). Dhu'l-Qarnayn, AH 547-557 / AD 1152-1162. Fals (Bronze, 25 mm, 2.44 g). Legend in Arabic in three lines naming Dhu'l-Qarnayn and his titles; around, legend in Greek 'O MEΓAC AMHPAC ΔOΛXAΡNAI'. Rev. Bare and bearded head to right; around, legend in Greek 'INΔIKTIONOC ΔEVTEPIC'. Album 1240. Somewhat rough and with edge cracks, otherwise, very fine.
