'al-Malik al'Alim / al-Adil Shams / al-Dunya wa'l-Din' (in Kufic) Male figure seated facing on an archshaped throne within dotted circle, wearing a patterned caftan with a pearled hem at about knee height; the legs are in pantaloons, the feet in boots. Rev. 'Abu'l-Muzaffar Ismail ibn Ibrahim ibn Muhammad Zahir Amir, al-Mu'minin' (in Kufic) in three lines. Whelan pl. 17, 12. A lovely example. Some areas of weakness and with minor deposits, otherwise, good very fine.
