Kaleb, circa 510-530s. Argyros (Billon, 13 mm, 0.62 g, 12 h). ከለበ-ነገሠ ('klbngs' = 'Kaleb, king' in Ge'ez) Draped bust of Kaleb to right, wearing tiara and circular earring. Rev. ✠ዘየደለ-ለሀገረ ('zydllhgr' = 'May this please the country' in Ge'ez) Draped bust of Kaleb to right, wearing tight-fitting head cloth and circular earring. Hahn, Aksumite, 42. Hahn & Keck, MAKS, 67.103 ( this coin ). Munro-Hay, AC, type 111. Darkly toned. Edge chip and with light doubling on the obverse, otherwise, very fine.
