Anonymous, circa 460s-first quarter 6th century. Lepton (Gilt Bronze, 15 mm, 1.02 g, 9 h). CΛ X - Λ-CΛ Draped half-length male bust to right, wearing tiara and circular earring, holding long cross-tipped scepter in his right hand and with bracelets on his right arm; to inner left, cross. Rev. TOYTO ΛΡCCH TH XⲰΡΛ Cross with central circle within circular border. Hahn, Aksumite, 36. Hahn & Keck, MAKS, 45. Munro-Hay, AC, type 76. Attractive earthen highlights. Very fine.
