ISLAMIC, 'Abbasid Caliphate. temp. Al-Rashid, AH 170-193 / AD 786-809. Seal (Lead, 18 mm, 4.10 g, 7 h). In the field, ‘ithnā / ʿashar’ (‘twelve’ in Arabic); date around, probably AH 170 = 786/7. Rev. ‘Aḥmad ibn / Ḥamad’ (‘Ahmad, son of Hamad’ in Arabic); illegible inscription around. A very interesting piece. Very fine.
