★ A beautiful tetradrachm of Hadrian ★

CILICIA. Aegeae. Hadrian, 117-138. Tetradrachm (Silver, 27 mm, 14.02 g, 6 h), CY 180 = 133/4. ΑΥΤΟΚΡ ΚΑΙΣ ΤΡΑΙΑ ΑΔΡΙΑΝΟ ΣΕΒ Π Π Laureate and cuirassed bust of Hadrian to right, with slight drapery on his left shoulder. Rev. ΑΙΓΕΑΙΩΝ ΕΤΟΥΣ · ΠΡ Eagle with wings displayed standing facing, head to right; below, goat recumbent to right. Prieur 721. RPC III 3349. A beautiful piece with a severe portrait. Very minor porosity on the high points, otherwise, good very fine.
