PHRYGIA. Colossae. Pseudo-autonomous issue, 2nd-3rd century. Tetrassarion (Bronze, 27 mm, 11.59 g, 7 h). ΒΟΥΛΗ Veiled bust of the Boulé to right. Rev. KO-ΛΟCCH-NΩΝ Zeus standing front, head left, holding eagle in his right hand and scepter in his left. BMC -. Martin, Kolossai 10. Von Aulock, Phrygien II, 534-536. Rare and of exceptionally fine style. Beautiful hard black patina. Some scratches and a plugged hole, otherwise, about extremely fine.
