★ A rare tetrassarion of Orbiana ★
LYDIA. Apollonis. Orbiana, Augusta, 225-227. Tetrassarion (Bronze, 30 mm, 13.16 g). ΓΝ ϹЄ ϹЄΡ ΒΑΡ ΟΡΒΙΑΝΗC ϹЄΒ Diademed and draped bust of Orbiana to right. Rev. ЄΠ ϹΤΡ ΑΥΡ ΤЄΡΤΥΛΛΟΥ ΓΛΥ ΑΠΟΛΛΩΝΙΔЄΩΝ Zeus standing front, head to left, holding patera in his right hand and long scepter in his left. GRPCL 69. Hochard 27. RPC VI online 4253. Rare and very attractive, with a lovely patina. Minor pitting, otherwise, nearly very fine.
