PONTOS. Amisos. Time of Mithradates VI Eupator, circa 85-65 BC. AE (Orichalcum, 21 mm, 8.52 g, 1 h). Head of Dionysos to right, wearing wreath of ivy and fruit. Rev. ΑΜΙΣΟΥ Panther skin and thyrsos on cista mystica; to left, monogram. HGC 7, 243. SNG BM Black Sea 1207. Minor flan fault on the obverse, otherwise, about extremely fine.
