ATTICA. Athens. Circa 165-42 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 28 mm, 16.12 g, 12 h), Demetrios, Agathippos, and Phi..., magistrates, 98-97. Head of Athena Parthenos to right, wearing triple-crested Attic helmet adorned with Pegasos and long tendril on the bowl, and with the foreparts of four horses above the visor. Rev. A-ΘE / ΔΗ-MH/TPI-OΣ / AΓA/ΘIΠ/ΠΟΣ / ΦI Owl standing facing on Amphora; to right, caps of the Dioskouroi surmounted by stars; on amphora, H; in exergue, ΠE. HGC 4, 1602. Thompson 880. Light marks, otherwise, good fine.
