★ An extremely rare pseudo-Rhodian issue from Samothrace ★
ISLANDS OFF THRACE, Samothrace. Circa 180-170 BC. Drachm (Silver, 15 mm, 2.56 g, 12 h), pseudo-Rhodian issue. Head of Helios facing slightly to right. Rev. ΤΕΙΣΙΟΥ / P-O Rose with bud to right; to left, kerykeion above ram's head right. Ashton, Samothrace, NC 1988, p. 129, 2-4. Extremely rare. Harshly cleaned and with minor traces of corrosion, otherwise, good very fine.
