CARTHAGE. Second Punic War. Circa 220-215 BC. Trishekel (Bronze, 31 mm, 19.69 g, 12 h). Head of Tanit to left, wearing wreath of grain ears, pendant earring and simple necklace. Rev. Horse standing right before palm tree; below horse, below, ligate 𐤈 and 𐤔 (ṭ and š in Punic). MAA 84a. SNG Copenhagen 341-3. Attractive brown patina with light green highlights. Minor roughness, otherwise, very fine.
