★ A very rare dilitron from Agyrion ★
SICILY. Agyrion. Circa 317-280 BC. Dilitron (Bronze, 25 mm, 13.01 g, 6 h). Head of Athena (?) to right, wearing crested Attic helmet. Rev. [ΑΓΥΡΙΝΑΙΟΝ] Bow and quiver. BMC 10. Calciati III, 19. HGC 2, 52. SNG Copenhagen -. Overstruck on a Syracusan hemidrachm of the 'Zeus Eleutherios/Thunderbolt' type (HGC 2, 1440). Very rare. Somewhat smoothed, otherwise, good fine.
