Description

SELEUKID KINGS OF SYRIA. Seleukos I Nikator, 312-281 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 24 mm, 16.39 g, 3 h), Babylon II, circa 311-305. Baaltars seated left, holding scepter in his right hand and placing his left hand on throne. Rev. Lion walking left; above, Seleukid anchor. SC 88.2a var (direction of anchor). Rare with anchor pointing to right. Minor roughness and with a few small scratches, otherwise, very fine.
