★ A very rare diassarion struck under Septimius Severus ★

LYDIA. Saitta. Pseudo-autonomous issue. Diassarion (Bronze, 24 mm, 8.41 g, 7 h), Attikos, first archon for the second time, 193-194. ΔHMOC CAITTHNΩN Laureate head of Demos to right. Rev. ЄΠI ATTIKOY APX A T/O - B Apollo standing front, head to right, holding lyre in his left hand and plectrum in his right. Amandry 5 = BMC 8 = Martin, Saitta 4 ( same dies ). Naumann 52 (2017), 1226. SNG Copenhagen -. SNG Leypold -. SNG München -. SNG von Aulock -. Very rare, apparently the third known example. Thick deposits, otherwise, good very fine.
