BAKTRIA, Greco-Baktrian Kingdom. Eukratides I, circa 170-145 BC. Drachm (Silver, 19 mm, 4.21 g, 12 h), Baktra, 170-162. Diademed and draped bust of Eukratides I to right. Rev. ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ - ΕΥΚΡΑΤΙΔΟΥ The Dioskouri galloping to right, each holding spear and palm frond; to left, A; to lower right, monogram. Bopearachchi 2D. HGC 12, 135. An attractive piece with a bold portrait. Light scratches and with a small pit on the reverse, otherwise, nearly extremely fine.
