ISLAMIC, Mongols. Great Khans. Möngke, AH 649-658 / AD 1251-1260. Jou (Bronze, 16 mm, 3.16 g, 2 h), Ghazna, AH [6]57 = 1259. ‘Qāʾān / Möng[ke / al-ʿādil]’ (‘Khan Möngke, the Just’ in Arabic). Rev. ‘Jou’ in a circle; mint and date around. Album 1978E.1. Extremely rare. Very fine.
