ISLAMIC, Syria & al-Jazira (Pre-Seljuq). Mirdasids. Asad al-Dawla Salih, AH 415-420 / AD 1024-1029. Dirham (Billon, 13 mm, 0.60 g, 1 h), mint and date off flan. Citing the name and titulature of Asad al-Dawla Sāliḥ ibn Mirdās. Rev. Citing his son as al-Amīr Abuʾl-ʿUlwān Thamāl ibn al-Amīr Asad al-Dawla, presumably as heir to the Mirdasid throne. Album 766. Very rare. Good fine.
