ISLAMIC, 'Abbasid Caliphate. temp. Al-Amin, AH 193-199 / AD 809-813. Dirham (Silver, 23 mm, 2.82 g, 9 h), citing the heir al-Ma'mun as 'al-Imam' and as 'ibn Amir al-Mu'minin' ('son of the Commander of the Faithful' in Kufic), Samarqand, AH 193 = AD 808/9. SICA III, 840. Some scrapes and nicks, otherwise, very fine.
