Fals (Bronze, 21 mm, 2.74 g, 6 h), Harran, AH 92 = 710/1. ‘lā ilāha illā / Allāh waḥdahū / lā sharīka lahū’ (‘There is no deity but Allah, the One, there is no partner to Him’ in Arabic). Rev. ‘Muḥammad / rasūl / Allāh’ (‘Muhammad is the messenger of Allah’ in Arabic); in the margin, ‘ḍuriba hādhā al-fals sana ithnatayn wa tisʿīn bi Ḥarrān’ (‘This fals was struck in the year 92 in Harran’ in Arabic). Album 192. Extremely rare. Areas of weakness and earthen deposits, otherwise, very fine.
