Citing governor ʿAbd Allah ibn Umayya (AH 75-77 / AD 695-697), SK (Sijistan), AH 75 = 695. Draped bust resembling Khosrau II to right, wearing elaborate mural crown; behind head, ‘GDE ʾp̄zwt’ (‘[may his] glory increase’ in Pahlavi); before head, ‘ʾp̄dwlʾ Y / ʾwmyyʾn’ (‘ʿAbd Allah ibn Umayya’ in Pahlavi); in outer margin, ‘bism Allāh ˗ al-ʿizza lillāh’ (‘In the name of Allah. Honour belongs to Allah’ in Arabic). Rev. Fire altar with ribbons, flanked by two attendants; above altar, star and crescent; to left, date in Pahlavi; to right, SK (abbreviation for the name of the mint in Pahlavi). Album 30. Very rare.
